Biography

Alissa Morrison was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa and graduated from St. Ambrose University with a double major in business management and marketing. Alissa has a unique and varied background in production and project management, and is adept at managing multiple projects, events, and client needs.

Alissa won the title of Miss Iowa USA and competed for Miss USA in 2016. She spent her year focusing on empowering women with an emphasis on advocating for women and children affected by human trafficking. Following her reign, Alissa entered media production in Hollywood where she has worked on such projects as feature film Jailhouse Confessional, the authorized Suge Knight story; feature film Voodoo Rising, which she co-wrote; and Sidebar with Robert Shapiro, a podcast featuring the famous attorney. Returning to her passion for advocacy, Alissa is currently developing Girls for Sale, a podcast featuring human trafficking survivors and focusing on awareness and prevention of human trafficking and support services for survivors.

Alisas is inspired by experiences. Whether traveling, exploring something new in her community, or simply spending time with friends and family, she draws on that inspiration to build unique moments and experiences for others every day. To that end, Alissa proudly serves as a member of the Warrior Rising team, where she is able to facilitate the planning and execution of major events in order to raise funds that enrich the lives of veterans seeking the American dream of business ownership.
