Biography

Elizabeth Christensen is a nationally recognized grant professional with a proven track record of securing millions in funding for nonprofits, research institutions, and businesses across the country. With over a decade of experience in grant writing, proposal development, and institutional advancement, Elizabeth has supported organizations in winning competitive awards from federal agencies such as the USDA, NIH, NSF, FEMA, and the Department of Homeland Security, as well as private foundations and corporate partners.

At Warrior Rising, Elizabeth serves as an Impact Grants Officer, leveraging her expertise to help the organization as well as its vetrepreneurs access the resources they need to launch and grow their ventures. She guides applicants through the complexities of grant development, ensuring proposals are strategic, compliant, and compelling -- directly advancing Warrior Rising’s mission to empower veterans through entrepreneurship.

Elizabeth’s passion for this work is rooted in her belief that access to funding can transform lives and communities. She is committed to demystifying the grant process and equipping veterans with the tools to succeed as business leaders and changemakers.

Notable achievements include securing multi-million dollar grants for innovative projects in agriculture, clean energy, public safety, and social services. Elizabeth holds a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management and Grant Writing from James Madison University and is a Grant Professional Certified (GPC) by the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. She is the immediate past president of the Utah Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA)
