Looking back at the most critical points in my business career, there were always mentors helping to illuminate the way with their wisdom, lessons learned, and experiences. It so happens that most of those mentors were veterans, living the warriors ethos and esprit de corps, even after their lives in uniform. In Warrior Rising, I’ve found an opportunity to give back and keep the flame alive as a mentor, following the vision of once great military and now civilian leaders that continue serving through empowering veterans for embracing the Deliberate Discomfort of launching their own business ventures, and continue serving and leading from their business platforms. It is an honor to share my toolbox and experiences from my own business journey, as a mentor to “vetrepeneurs” through Warrior Rising!
For almost 25 years Jerry has played multiple business roles in the telecom industry that include leading startups, consulting, training, and managing programs globally for private, government, military, and Fortune 500 entities. Besides his business experience in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Jerry has years of experience as business faculty member, L&D, and nonprofit board of directors. Jerry has a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Business Administration, a Masters of Science in Leadership, and Professional Project Management (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Jerry began his journey as an enlisted US Army Infantryman and was honorably discharged. He enjoys paddle sports, fishing, long-range precision shooting, and for anything short range he prefers old school iron sights. Time to rise Warriors… let’s go!
