U.S. Army Special Forces

Daisson is a U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret with 16 years of Active Duty service, 10 Operational Deployments, and 4 Combat tours.  While on combat tours in Kabul, Afghanistan, he decided to start The Java Can (www.thejavacan.com), combining quality fresh-roasted coffee in a kit (a “field barista kit”) that could reproduce coffee bar or home brewed quality in an outdoor setting, to appeal to campers, hunters, or anyone who enjoyed spending time outdoors.

His business - Java Can

Warrior Rising has assisted Daisson with Warrior Academy instruction and funding external coursework that has helped him acquire industry expertise and credentials.  We have also supported him with introductions to angel capital and mentorship. We were all so excited when Daisson was able to score a $50K investment into his business as a result of Warrior Rising’s pitch competition last year. Despite being affected directly by Hurricane Michael, Daisson soldiers on to grow his business and future success, with a never quit attitude and resilience honed through his military career and participation in the Warrior Rising program.  His company’s motto is  “Live Life Charged.”   Daisson is a true vetrepreneur.   He’s proud to wear the Warrior Rising “W” on his chest.
