Joe has 12 years of experience in startups focusing on software, product, and operations. His specialty is innovation management platforms, and he has spent the past five years building collaborative innovation tools.
Joe founded and fundraised several startups and has deep experience providing new ventures with training and resources for managing business modeling, recruiting, forecasting, IT infrastructure, and patents.
Joe has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in IT Project Management, and an MBA from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School.
He ran BYU’s Miller New Venture Challenge competition, which is the nation’s largest private university business plan competition. He also managed BYU’s Business Model Competition, which was the original implementation of what has become the International Business Model Competition. Joe continues to judge various business competitions and mentor startups each year.
