Jackie served with the U.S. Army as a Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical specialist for for five years which included a 15-month tour in Iraq from 2003 to 2004, during which she received numerous awards and commendations.
Upon separating from the Army, she single-handedly nuilt and managed a service-based business that provided professional photography services throughout the western United States to businesses and consumers. The business grew from one photographer to multiple part-time photographers and a videographer.
Jackie also built a women’s clothing and specialty startup brick-and-mortar that grew through local customers, online e-commerce, and eventually franchises before selling in December 2012.
In addition, she has served as Director of Strategy and Marketing for Haight Bey & Associates, Managing Director of the Utah Veteran Business Resource Center, and Business Advisor to the Small Business Development Center at Utah Valley University.
She holds an M.B.A. and a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science (summa cum laude), both from the University of Utah. She also holds a Women in Leadership Executive Education Certificate from the University of Utah.
Jackie is the proud mother of her five children. Aside from her own service, Jackie is married to an Army veteran.
